A couple weeks back I had the opportunity to spend the morning with this sweet baby boy and his family! Aside from the heat, I loved every minute of this session. Their backyard was perfect for my first ever outdoor newborn photos! We did about half the session outside and the other half in their living room. I just love large living room windows that flood a room with the perfect light.
Dryden was so content and calm. I could have just sat and held him, but that is not what his parents hired me to do! :)
Thanks Chris, Michelle & Kadri for allowing me to invade your home and disrupt Kadri's play area for the morning! I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed shooting and editing them!
(I had a hard time only choosing a few to share! :) )

Jennifer & Jamie ~ Engagement Session
On Canada Day I drove out to St. Malo to meet up with Jamie & Jennifer for their engagement shoot. What a muggy morning it was! But we worked past that and ended up having a good time and getting a lot of great photos!
I've known Jamie for years. We grew up attending the same church and Sunday school. So I knew sort of what to expect when it came to Jamie's personality. However this was only my second time meeting his lovely fiance, Jennifer. She's a little timid and shy at first, but after spending literally all morning together she definitely started to open up a lot more and became much more relaxed. It probably also helped that we decided to leave the mosquito infested Grotto and finish up their shoot at the Cherry Hill Estate. ( Cherry Hill was Jamie's idea, and a fantastic one at that! Awesome location about 2 minutes out of Steinbach)
On our way to Cherry Hill we drove by this LOVELY canola field. I was debating "do I stop or not?" Finally I decided that if I wasn't going to stop I was going to regret it. As we were walking back to our vehicles, Jennifer says "I've always wanted pictures taken in a canola field!" Well then it's a good thing I didn't just keep driving!
These two are such a sweet couple! I am looking forward to their fall wedding that is to take place at the Museum in Steinbach!

Stephanie ~ 35 weeks
I am thrilled to share some of these beautiful photos I took of best friend at 35 weeks pregnant!
Stephanie & Dylan are in the process of building a new house in the country. When Steph and I started planning a date and location, she mentioned that she would like to have the session take place on their property. I won't lie, I was a little leary, knowing the yard isn't landscaped, it had rained a fair amount that week and when I drove onto the yard I (I know this is kinda shocking that I didn't immediately see the potential) thought, "Steph wants her pictures taken here? Where? What am I going to do?" LOL Needless to say that thought didn't last long. We were done the first shot, and I was already saying that was my favorite picture of the session. It holds true this first photo is my favorite!
Thank-you Steph! It is a true honor of mine to be able to take these pictures for/of you! You are absolutely stunning! :) Can't wait to meet that little one!
LOVE Hudson's cute giggle face! ♥

Alysha & Keziah
These sweet little girls came to my studio about a month ago. Alysha had just turned 3 and Keziah was 6 months old. These little girlies are kind of like honorary nieces to me! :) They're so stinkin' cute!
